My husband and I were planning on using this to announce our pregnancy. I had previously read the reviews and one other buyer had said that it was suggested that the baby was not planned. I wasn't sure how obvious this was, so I bought one book before buying four (we have split families on both sides). After reading it through, we decided not to give it to them as an announcement. We planned our pregnancy and although it was a fun surprise to announce to our families, we had been trying for a while and didn't want it to seem like it wasn't a planned pregnancy.This book wasn't for us, but it is cute and well written.

This was a great book for an announcement for my grandparents to be. Tear jerker, cute, but be advised it does say that the pregnancy was UNPLANNED so if that's not your scenario this may might be the right book for you.

This is a lovely book to purchase for first-time grandparents. It was given to me by a very special friend, to mark the coming of my first granddaughter. I was touched by the story, as my friend welcomed me to the world of being "Grand!" I have since started my own tradition of gifting this special book to all of my dear friends, as they join me in the "Grand" world! My book arrived in perfect condition, this makes me happy! In the past I have had hard cover books arrive with the dust jacket torn, not this one though! Thank you for the quick shipping!

I do not like this book because it assumes your pregnancy wasn't planned, when ours was. This was how we were going to announce our pregnancy to our grandparents, but we returned this book because it obviously wasn't right for us. But, if your pregnancy was unplanned, this book is for you!

Perfect little poem to share with eager and excited Grandparents! We bought this for both sets of Grandparents and they both loved it!

Awesome book for grandparents. Actually giving this gift at a baby shower to the mom of the mom-to-be! I think it is a great way of acknowledging the moment for the new grandparents!
